On the year 2017 Ardan established a new partnership together with Megawatt transformers called MVA.

MVA specializes in advanced technologies for high voltage systems with expertise in high voltage transformers: maintenance, advanced transformer oil analysis, problem solving, special transformer services, transformer rooms and HV/LV cabinet maintenance.

Tests

On site Transformers and HV equipment electrical tests:

• Transformers Turns ratio: tests the fractional difference between the nominal and actual voltage ratios of the windings.
• Sweep Frequency Response Analysis: the most advanced electrical test for discovery of mechanical problems in transformers.
• Insulation tests: tan-delta, winding resistance, bushing capacitance.
• Infrared imaging: to locate hot spots in transformers and HV/LV systems.

Switching gear and cabinet tests:

• Mechanical tests: testing switches, drawers, locking mechanism.
• Gas pressure tests: for gas based switching systems.
• Protection Relay test and calibration: with outside current source.
• Earth continuation test.
• Connection head test for HV cables.

Advanced transformer oil analytics tests lab

The most advanced transformer oil analysis test lab in Israel and the only domestic lab testing Dissolved Gas Analysis and Furans giving a quick turn-around to the condition of the oil, facilitating problem pinpointing.

Factory Based Transformer tests:

All transformer type-tests, transformer turns ration, partial discharge, impulse test, winding resistance, high voltage tests, insulation, noise.

Services

On site transformers and HV/LV services:

• Oil leak sealing without the need to drain oil or disassemble bushings nor welding, using advanced polymer and epoxy materials.
• On-line-tap-changer full maintenance and service (MR, HM, ABB) – fully authorized and licensed by HM.
• Oil vacuum drying and regeneration, using one of the largest machines in Israel – 3000 L/h. We are the only company with the capability to circulate oil while the transformer is energized.
• Periodic maintenance to transformers, transformer rooms and HV/LV cabinets including:
  • Dry ice blasting, chemical cleaning, compressed air and vacuum cleaning.
  • Torque checks of bus-bars, transformer connections cabinet wires etc.
  • Mechanical joints lubrication and greasing.
  • Visual inspections.

In-house Transformers services for units up to 20MVA:

Oil drying and filtration.

Active core drying in vacuum oven.

Core rewinding, windings replacement.

Tap changer servicing.

Parts replacements.

Additional capabilities:

Service contracts with extended warranty to new Ardan Transformers.
